The team that brought you ‘Scary Voices’ returns with another epic set of vocal bits, ‘Digital Nightmares: DJ Drops & Sound Effects’ for Halloween and beyond. Voice actor Johann Smit performs some of the most disturbingly scary vocal drops, groans, growls, and other paranormal sounds. ‘Digital Nightmares: DJ Drops & Sound Effects’ also includes creepy children’s voices, female screams, creepy laughter, long speeches, side-chaining Zombie moans, looped phrases, looped vocal drops, twisted creatures, sound effects, creaky doors, creaky floors, thunderstorms, doors slamming, and much more. Some of the looped phrases say things like “Get on the dancefloor”, “Welcome to the dancefloor of fear”, “Make them scream”, “Lose your head”, and “Get up and dance” all in a dark and disturbing Halloween DJ voice.
This release shows what you can do with simple percussive samples and creative processing! I started with resynthesizing a digital percussion sound and misused the resynthesizing feature a little bit and played the result in several pitches to create the naked versions. All processed versions were designed with several hardware devices like Bricasti, REDD.47 pre-amp and vintage samplers you will recognize by the file names. On top I used some secret weapons to create the granulized versions.
Platinum producer DJ Pain 1 and Dar’rell Banks have teamed up to create a royalty-free soulful sample experience. Digital Soul contains lush chord progressions, vintage synth loops, soulful keys and much more, perfect for your Hip-Hop and R&B projects.
HydraTone is a five-band convolution EQ with fixed-curve bass and treble bands and true parametric low-mid, mid and high-mid bands. Additionally, HydraTone offers separate bass and treble filter sections featuring the unique ability to provide both filter-cut and filter-expansion processing. HydraTone allows the user to do more than simply select a single classic analog circuit for their EQ model; HydraTone also allows the user make this selection on a band-by-band basis. This allows the user to, for example, simultaneously use one EQ model on the bass band and a separate model on the high-mid band. HydraTone’s output stage provides several additional algorithms. The first is a unique signal warming and mild compression algorithm called “Fire”. The second is the ability to perform frequency-specific phase manipulation similar to that of hardware boxes popular for aligning multi-signal pairs. Finally, HydraTone allows the user to select a completely separate signal-path model for final output coloration.
ValveTone ’62 pays tribute to the EQs of yesterday; it’s all about “silky sex appeal” and “incredibly thick tone”. Deceptively simple BASS and TREBLE controls provide boost and cut algorithms that are both complex and pleasing. The DRIVE control provides you with four completely unique EQ curves:”Toasty 1″ and “Toasty 2”, which provides warm, velvet-smooth EQ, and “Smokin 1” and “Smokin 2”, which are more driven, colored and over-the-top. So, don’t expect some well-behaved Linear Phase EQ: ValveTone ’62 is all about character and TONE! Just turn the knobs and you’ll see what we mean.
AngelTone is a digital mastering EQ that utilizes “state-of-the-art modeling” to combine analog mastering EQ sweetness with digital precision and recall. AngelTone features five bands. Three bands are capable of full-range parametric operation. The two extreme bands feature both full-range peaking and shelving EQ modes. All parametric and peaking bands have access to the entire range of EQ frequencies available in AngelTone, allowing for powerful sculpting and precision.
ClassicTone-56 is a true-to-the-original recreation of one of the best sounding graphic EQs ever made. These graphic EQs are found in consoles and lunch boxes around the world and are prized for their punchiness and girth. ClassicTone-56 features 10 bands. From low to high the bands are: 31 Hz, 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz and 16 kHz. All bands are capable of 12 dB of boost or cut.
ColorTone-Pro is a “Tone Box” which simulates the signal path of analog devices through the use of convolution and various proprietary non-linear processes. ColorTone is designed to provide analog-like character and flavor to the modern digital audio workstation. ColorTone-Pro allows the user to multiply the color of the selected circuit, increasing the color from magesy download the standard character to several times the original color.
PulTone-FL is a recreation of a super-sweet passive program filter set. This studio classic is one of the best ways to tweak and shape tracks to create space in a mix or to create limited frequency range effects like the classic “telephone” vocal. These are the smoothest filters for carving your tracks into new and unique shapes. PulTone-FL features two filter bands, one low-cut and one hi-cut. The frequencies for the low-cut are 50 Hz, 80 Hz, 100 Hz, 150 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 750 Hz, 1 kHz, 1.5 kHz and 2 kHz. The frequencies for the hi-cut are 1.5 kHz, 2 kHz, 3 kHz, 4 kHz, 5 kHz, 6 kHz, 8 kHz, 10 kHz, 12 kHz and 15 kHz.
